I'd have to say this is my third or second favorite Ulver, just behind Shadows.

Thanks Jangoman, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks Jethro. I can see you digging this possibly more than any other Ulver album.

Sweet.

"Glamour Box (ostinato)" might be my song of the year right now.
|
| |
It's up there for me too, along with Son of Man.
|
| |
Sweeeeee review Jt. I have the intention of checking Shadows of the Sun today, perhaps tomorrow I'll look into this.
|
| |
This is hard to get into for me atm, gonna persevere
|
| |
Thanks Gwyn.

@Elmo: It's definitely one of those albums that takes quite a few listens to fully appreciate. It's not as easy to get into as say Shadows of the Sun or Wars of the Roses.

Erm Mother of Mercy. Can't get that little melody on 'pure and simple, virgin and whore' out my head
|
| |
Mother of Mercy is amazing too. That part is one of my favourite moments on the album along with the part in Son of Man where he sings "what kind of choir, of angels, will receive us".

I think my two are the shift up at the end of Glamour Box, or the lone violin entry on lebanon. Spine chilling

There's not a bad moment here, and a lot of these are highlights in the Ulver discog.
