Thanks Nrap. I think at first listen it seems dull, but be sure to give it multiple listens (if you haven't already) to see if it grows on you.

I thought this was incredibly boring but I'm convinced to give it another chance.

I originally thought this was a 3, so go for it.

this grows literally with every listen. there seems to be a consensus across the internet that its just not 'that good', and the problem is, this one really takes a few good listens to not seem homogeneous. for all those 2.5ing give it more of a chance, its worth it.

Some people might legitimately not like this and that's okay... personally I think if you've listened to an album less than 3 times it's difficult to evaluate it, though.

Yeah I don't like how it transitions from Palace to Doppelganger. But I've grown accustomed to it

and have started to figure that anything the antlers do is probably what's best for my ears.

Honestly, I completely disagree with both of you. I find the transitions between tracks to be one of the key reasons this album succeeds so well.

I tend to skip Doppelgänger while it's playing. it's a terrible Track 2

i think the problem i've had with this album is i haven't had the time to really sit down and listen to the whole thing thru in one sitting multiple times. tracks are so long

That's my problem with most albums. My drive to work is long, but I commute with a co-worker and I'd feel bad blasting To Be Kind or Holy Vacants at 6:00 a.m. I usually just talk or listen to the radio morning shows.

Then at home my fiancee doesn't get my taste. If it's the new YC then fine, but the last time she heard me listen to The Seer she thought my brain collapsed or something and that I was just listening to white noise. Then she asked me to turn it off so she could hear Law and Order.

Yeah, to hell with all those crime scene shows.

Sorry, I'm just bitter because in my apartment they're ALWAYS on: Castle, Law and Order, Cold Case, Law and Order SVU, CSI, CSI Miami, CSI-any city
