I thought this was really good. The spoken word guy isn't the best poet or performer of said poetry but it really works for me. Has some great lines which are probably written off as shitty but whatever.
Music is a different story, over all it works with the vocals but it isn't as dynamic as we have seen prior to this.

edit: well, it's not that you should NOT listen to it (no harm in checking a couple of tracks), it's that i wouldn't say it's something you
SHOULD listen to.

NO WAIT SCOTT listen to "Space Explorations" it's a much better introduction to this album (which is why it was the first song released)

Emo with spoken word, ambient, post-rock and random noises that could be field recordings, love it.

The voice that does the spoken word could be better but I'm just so extremely enthusiastic at the direction they're hinting at. I always had a soft spot for emo mixed with ambient, noisy sections with the occasional spoken word. Given their status, I hope other bands start to experiment with this style (again. Appleseed Cast did their own version with Low Level Owl, but not too much bands picked up where they left off)

Well they said they probably won't be doing spoken word in the same way again, that this was just a fun collaboration. I think it was a success but I do look forward to hearing their next album which will presumably be more of a continuation from their last I think.
