"Deathcore is a genre of extreme metal that combines sounds and characteristics of death metal with sounds and characteristics of metalcore."
like any subgenre you can have bands that use more or less of the elements that make up that particular subgenre
there are bands that are significantly more dm than core, like make them suffer, and hell followed with, and boris the blade
you can have bands that equally mix elements of dm and core like all shall perish, the red chord, even suicide silence
and then you have bands that are more core than dm, like the acacia strain, dealey plaza, immoralist, black tongue, etc
but they all fall under the same lil umbrella. no need to label one as downtempo beatdown hardcore and the others as like fuckin uptemo blackened metalcore lmao
sorry for the long and unnecessary explanation of my opinion

Except acacia strain have way more hardcore influence, making them stand out amongst the other bands you listed. I get
what you mean tho, but immoralist, and black tongue, and other "downtempo " bands really have no death metal besides
vocals

"Except acacia strain have way more hardcore influence"
this is the part i disagree with tho I really don't think they do. maybe on their older shit but it'd be hard to make a case for heavy hardcore influence on coma witch or death is the only mortal
"but immoralist, and black tongue, and other "downtempo " bands really have no death metal influences besides vocals "
exactly

You know I always though Vincent sounded like a dick when he was in an interview talking about how he hated deathcore and they were just a "heavy" band and that he would hurt anyone who said otherwise or something douchey
but "heavy" music is about the most accurate thing among the shit we've been talking about so yeah I guess TAS is just heavy

I remember him saying shit like that haha. True acacia strain bros know not to call it deathcore

True Vince has always been regarded as a douche and coward so what he thinks is irrelevant.

Nailed it with Nailgun, which is also one of the worst songs on here.

Frankie or Vincent should do guest vocals for each other while on tour

Funny how the good deathcore bands admit they're deathcore and the shitty deathcore bands deny this with all their strength. irony if I've ever seen it
