This really isn't a 1 in my opinion. Though for me to give a 1, it has to be on par with most of Nickelback's discography. I'd say it's just about a 2, particularly because in spite of the vocals being disappointing for the most part, there are some moments of instrumental creativity. The smooth jazz section on Bite My Tongue is pretty nice, and Oli's solos still demonstrate that there is some talent left.

Why are people comparing this to Nickelback, the two bands have nothing to do with each other

There are mutual ways to suck regardless of genre. Nickelback is typically the go-to reference. I have actually listened to a fair amount of their material, so I'm not hating for no reason.

I just listened to the entire album and I think its pretty good for what it is. There is nothing wrong with his clean vocals. I hate No Knock, but most of the other songs are decent. The only reason people are hating it on here is because it's more watered down and nowhere near as heavy as The Fall of Ideals. It's definitely not an amazing album, but it's also nowhere near terrible. I also have all of Nickelback's albums except for the newest one. Yea, I'm not afraid to admit that. This coming from somebody whose favorite bands are Scar Symmetry, Dark Tranquillity, Paradise Lost, Tool, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Riverside, and Type O Negative.

i knew they were going down the tubes when phil started asking the crowd if they knew what a circle pit was before playing the weak willed at shows after the fall of ideals was released
