Acid Hologram is such a lame tease. I love that eerie atmospheric part that comes in around 2:50, but instead of the song expanding upon it and branching off into something amazing it just predictably brings the chorus back. ughhhh

Phantom Bride's chorus is absolutely abysmal

Having said that this makes me excited to hear new Deftones for the first time in five years so yay

I actually enjoy this quite a bit so far. I've only ever listened to White Pony, but this is far more in my wheelhouse as far as musical style is concerned.

Again, no mention of Saturday Night Wrist. It's a crime I tell you.

And tbh Pink Cellphone is fine, the ending just drags it down.

maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of that album, at least in comparison to most other people that is.

I love it, the production is awesome. It just feels so unique, though that's kind of the case for every Deftones album. I guess it feels like it stands apart from the rest of their work.

It's their heaviest since Self-Titled it seems. And the guitar work is the most interesting it has probably ever been. Not necessarily 'amazing' guitar, but creative. It has an edge to it. It isn't just pristinely produced radio rock the way it seems their past 3 albums were going for. I like that a lot about it.

The only Deftones album art I don't really like is Diamond Eyes. Most people say the Around the Fur art is complete horse shit but it's probably my favorite of theirs since it goes perfectly with it's music.

I like Owls so I like the Diamond Eyes art haha. Adrenaline and s/t are the only ones with covers I don't care for but I'm pretty indifferent.
