Disturbed was my first ever concert. It was 10 years ago, and I still remember being in the sea and moving waves of people. Indestructible came at right at the right time for me when I was a young teenager and just getting into heavier stuff and that album completely blew me away. And you know what...it still holds up today. I was pretty disappointed by Asylum when it was released since I was so hyped for it, it's ok in retrospect, but they definitely lost a lot of edge after Indestructible.
I wasn't even expecting this to come out. I had no expectations, so this is just like bonus material for me at this point, and yea it's definitely their weakest album...probably by a substantial margin, I don't see myself returning to any of this...except "Stronger on Your Own" from this album is an absolute great tune that I will definitely be returning to. I love that one honestly. It grooves really hard and hits a nice sweet spot between heavy and poppy.

How far they have fallen..Violence Fetish, Fear, Numb, etc off The Sickness were bad ass..

@fallout1 It's probably the least terrible thing they've made (The Sickness) which isn't saying much.

Sickness is like third of fourth best tbh

I still like some of their stuff like Stupify Violence Fetish Liberate and the underrated track Intoxication. After the first two albums their just kind of meh to me. The lasted song I'll admit I like the most is The Vengeful One.

It is so commercial that I didn’t even want to listen to the week after the release.

"Let’s begin, as the album does, by analysing lead single ‘Are You Ready’. I was ready. This opener is possibly the most clichéd collection of Disturbed tropes put to tape. If a Disturbed cover band went rogue and started mashing up their rehearsal material for the purpose of churning out on-the-spot “originals”, this is what I imagine the result would sound like."
This is such a delightfully scathing review I love it.
Best Ones Lie is a fucking jam. I feel like their guitarist is the best part of the band and needs to do his own thing tbh. He's doing the vast majority of anything remotely interesting on their albums at this point.
