Life is a waterfall,

we drink from the river,

then we turn around and put up our walls.

For sure.

Wow... I once used to headbang to this a lot more than to Mezmerize/Hypnotize/pretty much everything else, but now I don't. Still, this album's excellent. Their best work.

This and White Pony are on another level to any other Nu-Metal albums I've heard.

Eh, i found this album to be completely silly at some points. I love this band but sometimes, they do get repetitive and semi-pointless. There are some landmark songs on this album that are amazing though. Toxicity is definitely something that grows on you.

When I first started listening to System when I was 10 or 11 I remember thinking how fucking weird Serj's lyrics were. I really enjoy them now though.

Album has too much filler for me to ever consider 5ing it. Plus I still prefer the self-titled.

I think it may just be me but I swear there's a certain atmosphere to this album that I don't feel on their other stuff. Maybe its just uber nostalgia.

I found the recording/production quality of this record>all other SOAD albums. The guitar has a perfect tone, high level of presence without overloaded bass and amazing horizontal sound stage. Serj's voice seems very clear and possibly leveled higher that normal above the rest of the music. Bass also has a perfect level and tone. The songs are just so well written too. The thing that took away from the atmosphere in the first album for me was the guitar setting (bassy and low quality recording).

That's definitely nostalgia. I get that on pretty much every SOAD album.

Great album but not quite as good as the self titled for me but close. Aren't these guys about due for another album?

Yes they are, but it's been more than a year since they said that.
