I'm glad we got past the whole "let's figure out which ways it's ok or cool for women to talk about sex in music" thing that sput loves doing whenever a woman says something horny , but I definitely think theres plenty to discuss otherwise! one of the weirder and prettier albums I've heard this year. could be one of the best albums of 2024 if they just made a few better sequencing and feature decisions. it's like a hybrid between a masterpiece and a total letdown

"it's like a hybrid between a masterpiece and a total letdown"
Probably the most based take itt so far, if I'm being honest lol

I heard I Luv It in some sort of alcohol commercial and it’s the single worst song I’ve heard this year

I actually like "I Luv It" despite the awful Carti feature. It feels very camp and like she's leaning into the ridiculous in a purposeful way. The little "woo!" in the chorus is hilarious and I think the choreography from that song's appearance in Lana's Coachella set kinda tipped me off.
There are some solid ideas here and the production is immaculate at points, but the shibari/tongue-tied line for instance just completely takes me out of an otherwise intriguing song in Chanel No. 5.

first time i heard "wrist wrist wrist wrist make him come alive" i thought it was supposed to be some sort of handjob innuendo lmao
anyway, this isn't nearly as bad as i expected just kinda boring / non-descript for the most part. quite like the lil nas x song and boat and pretty when i cry. not entirely sure why drake takes over the middle of the album like that though

@odal Chanel No. 5 is one the most fascinating songs here just because it is a complete winner that Camilla ruins singlehandedly with her performance
BOAT really doesn't do anything for me, my impression was mostly that it was a pretty unimpressive piano ballad and inferior version to twentysomethings
