If there was a favourite on the album for me it would be This World Can't Tear us Apart. Rest is pretty shite!

pathetic.... honestly ascendancy was a decent METALCORE (not thrash, vocals go from scream to melodic, plus thrash is like a constant roller coaster) but really......... they changed there style To much, is this there attempt to go mainstream? cause they all but failed

one of the worst albums ever

Ok, first of all, who gives a flying fuck about hype?!?! Just look at Death Magnetic. It had a shitton of hype, but IMO, it was a worthless album.

Honestly, I don't understand where people come off comparing this album to Metallica. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE Metallica fan. IMO, they are the greatest. BUT, All there good thrash stuff came nearly 20 years prior to trivium. It's two COMPLETELY different era's of Metal. Don't try to compare them. Trivium's guitars and drums are alot different, and just because someone sings with an edge to it doesnt mean they are trying to be Hetfield.

All of that aside, they comment that infuriated me the most was the one about all they songs on this album sounding the same. ARE YOU DEAF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Every fucking song has a completely different feel to it. How the FUCK could you say 'Becoming the Dragon' is anywhere close to 'Anthem[We Are The Fire]'??? Different Keys, Different Time Signatures, Different Song Structure. Christ Sake, Dragon ends on a fookin BASS SOLO!!

knew metallica did kik ass sweeping solos on dean razorbacks and nothin croses my mind of metallica screaming, last time i

recalled this was a band called trivium and you fukheads need to get ur heads out ur cunts and actually relise this, ok now

onto the album. Yes i believe that this is triviums "weakest" album compared to Ascendancy and Ember to Inferno, but maybe

because trivium have gone to a whole new level, well levels not the right word, i'll just call it, curiosity, yeh that works i guess,

these guys were curious to see what kind of repsonce they'd get if they changed tactics and went from solid throbbing

screaming and heavy metalcore-ish riffs, into a softer but yet still kik ass clean singing, political sorta of heavy metal stand,

and i think these guys did a resinable job for guys aged 22-25 and willing to try sumthing different and not curdle in their

shells and release the same record over and over again. The solos r majorly kik ass (better than the ascendancy solos in a way

i think) the songs have taken a new point of view and it worked out great. Only bad track is "The Rising" which is a bit boring if
