I mean, to me it's obvious why ODST is the best; playing as an ODST soldier instead of the Chief was far more immersive and relatable, the environments (especially the dark city at night with the rain and soundtrack) are still fantastic to this day, and it introduced some of the best parts of Halo (including some of the best modes). Gameplay itself was more challenging, the story was arguably more engrossing, and there was more variety.

ODST > 3 > 2 > Reach = 1 > 4 > 5

I'd take Halo 1 over Reach any day tbh
