Terrible album but well reviewed.

Guns & Roses, AFI, and other bands really shouldn't have been mention in this review along with You Know Who (I'm not going to say their band name as this post contains the names of the bands Guns & Roses and AFI). This review was written well (except for the mentioning of much better bands in it) but this album and this band simply suck. I could defend my opinion on why they suck very well, but no one is attacking it so I must go somewhere else to rant. *sigh* I wish You Know Who would just go away... please, please go away, my ears, they are in so much pain.

Not a good album, i first thought it was catchy... but it's really not. the voice is annoying, the lyrics are crap... the instruments are terrible. ahhh... but good review, bad band... yep.

"Perfect"= My soul set to music.

Just FYI... rhythm is spelled like that. R H Y T H M.

I think by reading the song titles we roughly get an idea of what the music is gonna sound like. Generally the lyrics are about how their daddy doesnt love them. And dont get me started on the singers voice..
Your review is good, however i disagree with literally everything you said.

The cover of this album is so obviously fiction.
Pierre has a small package for you

I can find value in most bands from nearly every genre. Simple Plan is one of the few bands I consider to be truly terrible to the point that I cannot listen to it.

No helmets, no Pads and no balls, either.

I know, I know, everyone hates Simple Plan. Unfortunately, I absolutely love them. Is it true that they are pretty huge in Canada?

Decent album.
Good drums.
Great guitar.
Good Bass.
Bad Vocals kill all of the above.

I once changed the wikipedia article of this to No Helmets, No Balls... Just Pads once. No lie.

Fun album if you're 12-16.
Other than that, it's not that good.
3.5 because I used to love this album.

A reasonably good entry point to pop-punk for teenagers, 'No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls' is the ridiculously titled debut LP from Montreal quintet Simple Plan. Simplistic in almost every facet, this is a fairly fun, energetic & catchy release, which unfortunately gets rather repetitive over its 41 minutes. Pierre Bouvier's nasally vocals recall an immature Billie Joe Armstrong, but eventually get a bit too whiney, while the predictable - if relatable - lyrical themes soon get redundant. It's harmless enough for a listen or 2, even if there is little replay value here. Recommended Tracks: Perfect, I'd Do Anything & The Worst Day Ever.

I like it, but I've never been a very big fan of this band. It would be a three if not for "Perfect", which I really, really liked back in the day when I was just getting into pop punk.
EDIT: Putting all of their albums down a point five, including this.
