A really solid album! It's on my "to buy in 2017" list. However it sounds to me much closer to Swedish DM like Afflicted or early At the Gates (with some black metal influences sprinkled on top) than to the bands mentioned in the review

Man a lot of people have been getting melodeath vibes from it and I do not see it. I hear mostly psychedelic music and more dissonant DM and BM but whatever

this album is pretty impressive. 2017 is looking about as good as 2016 did at this point. But the second half of '16 was just ridiculous.
