Claudio's voice grows on you after a while. I'll admit I wasn't a fan at first but I really enjoy him now.

Like I said, last two songs on that album are killer.

Ghost is a nice little interlude as well.

Wouldn't count Ghost as an interlude tbh it's a superb track in and of itself. Only problem is it's too short

agreed key

Substance is objectively up to the listener of course. I haven't analyzed the lyrics much, so maybe lots of it is in there, but musically, ehh :/ a little too poppy for my liking.

then you'd hate the new album. A couple songs are pretty much pop-rock.

You might like some of their later albums though, their first album kinda had a post-hardcore sound to it in a way.

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with pop but when it has a sort of metal edge to it it usually rubs me the wrong way. Same thing with a lot of DT's stuff.

DT's pop is like that cheesy 80's pop that people who rocked mullets up until 2003 listen to. the pop on here is just straight up pop punk which is inoffensive at worst i think

This has pretty much no metal tho if anything it's nu-prog with pop tendencies and a glimmer of post-hardcore edge

If you want more of a direct prog rock sound I'd suggest No World For Tomorrow
