Just jammed the first 4 songs this morning, really cool stuff so far.

Enjoyed this a lot more on the second go around. Some songs that didn't click on the midsection and back half revealed their beauty. I will say I realized what's holding this back for me: the vocal pitch rarely varies. I feel like he could accomplish much more with the sound by alternating his tonality and pitch to go along with the swings in melody. Still, this is pretty damn gorgeous and much better than I originally thought. Good chance it grows into a top album for me this year; vocals rarely are enough to keep something down for me, and I always begin to connect with them regardless of style over time (this was my first ever PG experience).

This wasn't love at first sight for me, but what a grower! Especially love the vocals on Die 4 You. If I had a problem with his voice, I got over it a long time ago... The production is wonderful, need to listen to more Blake Mills projects.

yeah the voice is a little weird but it doesn't stop this from being a powerful listen. I put this on good speakers and got stoned last night and I was absolutely entranced
