i've never been to p4k and still i think soccer mommy's first album is nearly perfect, or perfect

Imo Soccer Mommy has a much different vibe than the rest of the sadgirl queens. Kind of... "cooler", I guess, a bit more attitude. There's some sadness here but overall it feels emotionally diverse to me. I wouldn't pigeonhole her in that movement, she's much more refreshing imo.

This is a great album but man do I wish there was more material on par with "Scorpio Rising" - that song is quite handily in my top 20 of the decade

This was a refreshing listen. Especially digging the first song. And I'm not sure, but I felt like "Scorpio Rising" was good but not one of the better songs on my first listen.

i think it's far and away her best material, but the production is bedroom pop vs. the pretty excellent polished production here. that album is a strong 4.5+ for my tastes
