Bumping this down. It's been only 5 listens for me and I'm already sick of this... Zuu, Ricky, Speedboat and P.A.T are fucking fire, the rest is meh. I'm not happy with this, hope he comes out with something better next year.

I'm kind of shocked cause the last album is still a mainstay for me. This one is just kind of... fluff =/

Yeah I totally agree with that. If he released this before Taboo I'd maybe be kinder to it.

Taboo is better but this is too fun to dismiss. It's like the better version of Vince's FM! Imo, just a fun album with some Miami reppin bangers

The high-pitched vocals on Carolmart and Shake 88 were cute at first but god they get grating on repeated listens... And I'm going to say it...
...
Wish is overrated.

A cynical part of me wonders if his last album was too heavy, and alienated a decent portion of hip-hop fans. This feels like a $-motivated attempt to cast a wider net. I love the guy and I hope I'm wrong, and he's just switching it up to keep things unpredictable, but I'm kind of bummed about this feeling like a hollow tip cause that reflects the content on this album.

aaaaaand it's just been brought to my attention that this is actually an established pattern of his to do a fun spontaneous release between his major projects. This actually makes a lot of sense. Forgive my ignorance, I only listened to his 3 major albums.

Nah definitely not. Taboo is far and away both the most popular and well received project he’s ever put out... he was simply “the water bottle flip guy” for a ridiculous amount of people before Taboo. I’d also say the “heavy-ness” and crazy energy of Denzel’s music might be the single biggest draw to his music.
