I know this didn't catch on here but I'm still spellbound by this thing's beauty. Gonna have to tuck it away as a "personal favorite"... record's got worlds of charm.

Listening to this again - I think it doesn't take enough risks. Like, I reckon the best part of the album is the chorus on Digital Light Field where you that discordant, jarring synth propelled by a beat that just cuts through the song, and you get this real feeling of elevation that's just so cool. But there's nothing quite like that again on the album, which does much better with melody than it does with rhythm.

Hollowmaker has that distant, blaring horn that opens it, but then it gets wrapped up in sweet melody and you lose that unnerving effect again. But that's maybe just 'cause I like that feeling of 'darkness' better.

So now that I think about it, another artist I can compare this to is Glasser, who I think I like alot better because her work is more rhythmic and dancy.

Just spun this again today after a relatively long break, and I love it even more.

Your points are mostly well met but I love that this is classical and very melodic, if it was dancy I don't think I'd be able to take it seriously.

Here from your EOY list. Mostly to complain about the drum sound on this. Actually, a handful of things here turn me off, so I better stop this album.

Still an underrated 2019 cut, don't care what anyone says.
