YR SOOOO COLLLDDDDDD
Ahh, my post-grunge phase brings memories of these guys. Makes me larf to think they're still making music.

Review is pretty much as I expected it when you told me your initial reactions. I might get into hearing this but its not high in my priorities.

It definitely should be, albums is the shit

daveyboy ur an idiot. this album is a step up from anything they've done. i like how people on here write reviews like they are actually qualified to do so.
the album has a good mix of heavy and light songs. the whole them of dear agony is about ben fighting through his alcohol addiction. this is the first album he's wrote sober so it's packed full of emotion. it's worth the buy

Oh hells no you did not just insult Dave-y, dude thats like stepping on a kitten.

this cd is a good combo of heavy and light. "hopeless" is the heaviest song i've ever heard by them. and i'm a huge fan of saturate, their heavest cd.

Hey man cool it down a bit. Davey's opinion is just as relevant as yours. If you disagree with what he says, than write a review of your own and post it up.

I just heard 'i will not bow' on sunday without knowing who it was and it did catch my ears that's for sure... that singer sounds like he has a good screaming voice that only comes out like a turtle's head: every now and then.

Happy 150th, DaveyBoy. I will say, those ampersands on the home page are a giveaway to whose review this was!

Daveyboy is no idiot and although we disagree on how good this album is, Fade away haves a good starting riff but theres no magic in the chorus n the solo is alright, weak amongsy the others but not bad, now i believe 'crawl' or 'hopeless' should have kick off the album cuz there both BB at there, loving these song more n more, and this might nake me sound gay but i like 'Dear Agony' as i can relate to it, 'Into the nothing' seems like it can be their next single hence it haves a very catchy chorus..good song and the closer 'Without You' has been growing very fast on me and its one of my avprites right now, n no doubt jason Raunch from red helped on this song cuz the chorus reminds me so much of red.

"YR SOOOO COLLLDDDDDD" OMG, DavID commented on one of my new reviews. Wonders will never cease!
Yeah Ross, after I wrote my initial thoughts to you in one or two lines, I stopped to think whether I had anything else to say!
"daveyboy ur an idiot. this album..." Wait, wait, I'll let you finish, but let me just say that my name is DaveyBoy. Please capitalize appropriately. Come on man, it's an opinion. Yeah, there's some emotion, but I feel there was just as much in his earlier writing. In fact, he practically admits that writing was sort of easier previously when he was under the influence. As for the mix of heavy & light, I do disagree. The light side of things is not accentuated enough. Like I say, this album begs for an acoustic track.
linchpin, I do think that sometimes we'd all be better listening to music not knowing who we were listening to before-hand. That way we can throw out all expectations. Does Burnley have a good screaming voice? I wouldn't say screaming, I'd say aggressive singing. When he genuinely screams, he struggles.
Thanks Caleb. And yeah, I like to save space.
Thanks for the back-up Alexanjah. Hmmm, 'Crawl' as the opener. Even though, I would usually doubt putting such a strong song in that position, that could just well have worked. Good thought. My choice as next single would be 'What Lies Beneath'. And yes, 'Without You' was co-written by Rauch.
And I do agree with fti. I can see what they were trying to do with 'Hopeless', but it didn't work. They were trying to take 'Crawl' up a further notch on the heaviness aspect. It was beyond them though. Having said that, it's not awful.

F**kIt; just disappointing though, or plain bad?
Can't fully agree sorry Shell. In general, I agree that they're a singles band. 'Rain' is fine by me & I still believe 'I Will Not Bow' is the best song here also.

Not bad. It had its good moments, but compared to Phobia or even any of the other prior albums, those good moments are lacking in numbers.

Actually, I should have foot-noted my comment re: singles with *excluding 'Saturate'. Not so much because I don't like the singles, but just because that was a different beast of an album. It was heavier & just had an overall different feel than the next 3 albums.

album is more boring than previous ones. I like Phobia quite a bit but this just feels like a B-Sides album
