This is my favorite of Kanye's albums. I think for me, it has a strange grandness to it. The incorporation of Jon into the studio may have had something to do with it but whatever the cause, the production in many cases is really pushing the songs while his rhymes are supporting. Gone is such a good song because of the mix of samples (it is a kanye track), the beat, and strings that gives something, well, grand. I think the production in that song is best seen with the break in vocals three quarters of the song in where the strings take over as lead. Then it goes on to fight/compliment Kanye when he jumps back into the song.

Wow, just such a good album in general and all that was just about one track. My only real dislikes would be Gold Digger (its successful but I personally don't get what so special about it) and some of the skits.

Am I the only one who loves Broke Fi Broke?

Also, this features some of the best hip-hop of the past decade, possibly all time. Amazing album.

This is uber underrated, this is a classic album.

Unfortunatly, the album he made right after this was bad.

This album is a bit of a mixed bag to me, I only like half the songs but they're good enough for me to give this a 3.5

Diamonds and Touch the Sky are dope.

The production is more consistently great on this album, but the subject matter on College dropout was superior.

Finally listened to this, after putting off checking out his music due to his douchfaggery for so long. It was actually a good listen.

Diamonds from Sierra Leone is brilliant.

I fell in love with Kanye on this album. My favorite thing of all is that the album plays like an orchestral piece.
