Anything but simple cash-in, filler stuff. Great EP with great songs, Killing a Little Time is about as intense as Bowie can get.

^agreed. For some reason "Killing a Little Time" is really haunting. For some reasons it feels really aggressive to me. That and "No Plan" should have been on Black Star.

Gonna check

No Plan is my favorite here yeah.
|
| |
I wish "When I Met You" went somewhere else (or anywhere, for that matter). A competent mood piece in tune with the overall Blackstar sound but not much in terms of progression.
|
| |
Its a nice tune, not outstanding but pretty serviceable.

"Killing A Little Time" gave a jolt of surprise. Did not see that coming.

I understand why Killing A Little time didn't make the album, it's a bit too similar to Sue in tone and is definitely an inferior track. It's a solid tune but I'm not in love with it.

I kinda wish they included "No Plan" and "Killing a Little Time" on Blackstar, but using the "Sue" from his "Nothing has Changed" compilation album, rather than the newer arrangement.
|
| |
Yeah no discussion here, No Plan could fit in Blackstar really well.

I don't think the old 'Sue' would have fit Blackstar, album would have been way too slow/funereal
'No Plan' is decent enough to have made the cut though

I agree, No Plan could've fit on Blackstar - the album was short enough that it could easily fit another tune.
