as for songs... damn. king beetle, julia, sweater, wolf, o porcupine, carousels, jan, bear's vision, grist, red cow, birnam wood, aug 6, kristy, wendy & betsy, son of a widow. if i had to pick my absolute favourites. could easily add another 15 to that but those ones come to mind as their best, for me

Carousel is in my top 5! My favorite over the years has probably become either Messes of Men or Nine Stories, with Bear's Vision rounding out that top 3

messes of men is also amazing. it feels wrong leaving it off a best of list tbh. same with sun and the moon, dryness, a glass can only spill, my exit, four letter word, every thought, nine stories, rainbow signs, pale horses, watermelon. just so many good songs. i'm upset they're not gonna be making more music and really hope they come back for a few more albums
