This grew a lot on me. For me Leashes is the new Acquired Taste with those outstanding belts from Einar

This was ok but I hope they move back more in a rock direction for the next one.

I mean a more prog metal kind of record would be nice, but i think they maintained their strengths throughout their discography nonetheless

Really grew on me, at first I was disappointed, but looking back it's probably in my 2017 top 5. "Weight of Disaster", "Leashes" and "From the Flame" are just amazing.

Weight of Disaster is one of my least favourites

Yeah, i also see this as a front heavy album - the second half simply doesn't match the first for me

Weight of Disaster is superb. The riff is so simple, yet... heavy, and the fragile contrast of the vocals is just spot on

I mean the vocals are spot on since Tall Poppy Syndrome - they may not be for anybody but the technical ability is far and beyond average

He's a great vocalist, but he's not really experimenting much with his vocals anymore,

Weight of disaster's riff is so boring

This might actually be Einar's best vocal performance imo

His vocals on Bilateral are better by a mile for me.

well Bilateral is a better album overall
still though I love his softer tone on some of the songs, especially Bonneville.

Weight Of Desaster is one of my favs. It's so relentless anf the chorus is so catchy and dramatic. I'm clearly not listenung to this for the guitars though.

I would say his vocal performance may be the most daring on Bilateral, but he hasn't lost a step on the newest record. The biggest difference i can tell is that he doesn't scream or growl anymore

I actually like that he doesn't on this record. It's kind of a breath of fresh air for me.
