i'm working on a really clever one where i say her songs sound like they were written by an AI. I might even refer to a specific AI by name

Loving the post twilight success Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have found. They’re both great actors

Phoebe's songwriting game is hard to criticise in the sense that she clearly knows her audience is made up of total fuckin pushovers and that there's no need to overinvest in that dept beyond the absolute bare minimum
And boy do you like to prove her right (can't wait to hear this lol)

okay damn I wasn't expectingly plot twists from this, but the drop of quality between
$20 and Emily I'm Sorry is potentially the most pronounced oomph I've heard on any record this year

I'm willing to chalk up most of this as not really my thing but "Satanist" def left a bad taste in my mouth, has that aloof mid-90s too-clever-by-half thing going (off-brand ecstasy? Ooh, really painting us a picture aren't you)
$20 is good tho and Not Strong Enough has a solid shot at being my song of the summer

Yeah “$20” and “Not Strong Enough” are the obvious highlights though I do like Satanist a lot and the chorus of “Emily I’m Sorry” has been pretty stuck in my head. “Cool About It” is also a very nice ditty. Rest of this ranges from forgettable decent to poor. Really ought to have been just another EP; this is nowhere near consistent or cohesive enough to justify the conceit of being “the record”
