Still Life > Morningrise > Blackwater Park > Orchid > Deliverance > MAYH (I haven't listened to it much) > GR

And then throw Damnation in somewhere towards the middle.

Blackwater Park is Opeth's best. Still Life is a classic, but is not for peopel just getting into Opeth, and Ghost Reveries... is diffrent, but still good. This album is good too, butthey have better.

Everyone says Ghost Reveries sucks because Roadrunner Records got involved in it.

No. That has nothing to do with it, as the whole album was written before they were signed to Roadrunner.

It's because GR isn't anywhere near as good as anything else they've done.

Roadrunner produced it though. Owell, it's not my opinon, it's just a majority opinion.

Yeah.

My goal for my future in music is to make a mediocre Opeth album.

Opeth's songs are too dragged out and boring.

Its yo momma's fault.

I'm not saying I can't handle the songs, I can easily listen to a Godspeed You! song, but dayyyyyyuuummmm I could fall asleep to the Grand Conjuration.

There's the problem. You're listening to songs off of Ghost Reveries.

Get some of Still Life/Blackwater Park/Deliverance.

I find their older songs to be slightly more boring than Ghost Reveries stuff.

It's still quite good though.

Average review.

The Amen Corner - "I don't really like this song".

What kinda idea does that give someone reading this review who's never heard Opeth before?

Also, it wouldn't have hurt point out the song titles 'linking' with each other, thus giving the album flow. Although Still Life probably could've benefitted more from this 'linking' because there was no instrumentals on it.

My fav Opeth album. Darker than a winter's night.

My three favourite Opeth albums are Still Life, Ghost Reveries and Damnation, to be honest, just because I like all the songs on them, to varying degrees. Morningrise and Blackwater Park come close behind, just for having a couple of songs I dislike. My Arms, Your Hearse comes behind them, probably due to being generally a little too heavy for my tastes, and the clean singing/some acoustic moments not being quite as nice, same sort of deal with Deliverence. Orchid... I havn't really listened to very extensively like the others, but I think it has to come at the bottom of my list at the moment, though this could change, it has some VERY nice moments.
