The Long and Winding Road is wonderful too, certainly one of McCartney's most beautiful compositions.
As much as I adore their more ambitious records, I just love the overall rawer, bluesy sound of this album; Harrison the highlighted member in my opinon: both his soloing and general playing are absolutely appropriate and often more interesting than they had previously been. One After 909 is the record's only realy flaw to me.

I agree hard with the fact that Harrison is the highlighted member in this one.

For You Blue is so good.

This is one of their weakest - but still, when compared to the overall music scene, I give it a 5.

Actually, looking at your ratings it makes sense why you'd say something so hilariously wrong.

giving a 5 to the "weakest" album of a band that has so many LP's is fanboyism at its best
but u 5'd ABBA so I still love u

Well the Beatles are my favorite band, but I think even their weakest is up there in the top echelon of music.
Nice to see another ABBA fan here.

I like to listen to both this and Let it Be... Naked. Sure, Naked is superior but I do enjoy Phil Spector's grandiose additions to the album.

The key is to not think of this as their final album, but as a linkage of sorts between the White album and Abbey Road.
“Across the Universe” is beautiful and the Anthology version of “The Long and Winding Road” without the lavish string overdubs is heavenly.
