Heard of both of those, but my favorites are from this album and Seventh Sojourn.

Some awesome Seventh Sojourn tracks:

This is absolutely great, I would also try out Threshold of a Dream and Seventh Sojourn, both of which are more accessible but still excellent.

Ok, let's reveal my very favorite songs from their 1975's compilation 'This is the Moody Blues';

Question

Legend of a Mind

Isn't Life Strange

Have you Heard 1/The Voyage/Have you Heard 2

Ride my See Saw

Melancholy Man

Tuesday Afternoon

Nights in White Satins

They're all 4.5 or 5

@Sowing, your Seventh Sojourn' 3 songs are great, but have you considered the Jethro Tullish 'Isn't Life Strange'?

Thanks buddy! The other review is like a freaking diary entry but I felt like making my 100th for me, in whatever way I wanted it to be. Haha.

"Over the last week my dad has been giving me his old vinyl and there are looooots of Moody Blues. Guess I'll start here."

Yes planewreck, absolutely start hear and then work your way through the discog in chronological order. The next 6 are amazing imo. Never liked "Octave" myself.

Thanks Phideaux! I was listening to a lot of King Crimson, which is what inspired this review.

This is definitely a dad car band for me too. I got their greatest hits forever ago. I'll probably check this album out too.

I remember hearing "Your Wildest Dreams" in the car when I was younger and being hooked.

Great album but nowhere near as good as Harmonium L'Heptade when it comes to combine prog and a full orchestra.
