This was the first ATG album I heard, I went out and bought it, before I even heard one song, which I usually don't do, beacause I heard how great it was, and it definitley didn't dissapoint.

Everyone should check out Terminal Spirit Disease too! It's a little more Gothenburg oriented, but still sounds a lot like this. Plenty of amazing songs there. Into the Dead Sky and And the World Returned are some incredible acoustic songs.

Yeah, I would also give it a 5/5.

I'm not the biggest fan of this album.

Blinded By Fear is a good song, but overall I found the album to be little boring.

Though I must say, fucking good work covering Slaughter Lord! Old-School Aussie Thrash ftw!

It didn't take me very long at all, about half way through the album I knew that I loved this album.

At first all of the riffs sounded very simplistic and based entirely on catchiness, but now I can see a bit more in them than that. I dig.

Even if the riffs are more simplistic than most other death metal bands out there, they're still above average in terms of most other rock/metal bands out there.

Oh man, melodic death metal just plain OWNS.

"blinded by fear" is a sick song. slaughter of the soul is impressive too. I recommend the Break the Silence cover of it if you like a little less medal and a little more punk.

Cheers

Blinded by Fear is of course a classic song, but as of right now the three songs I'm really into are Slaughter of the Soul, Suicide Nation, and Legion.

Just one of those small guilty pleasures on the album that gets me pumped up is hearing the shotgun cock right at the intro of "Suicide Nation". It's just uber-badass.

That sound makes the album for me. I don't know why, it's just so undeniably metal.

I feel the same way you do, man. It just gives the album a "kick some major ass" and "leave no survivors" vibe.

So I guess you two just adore the first track off of The Used's last album then, huh? If shotgun's are in this year of course.

I'm probably alone in this respect, but my favorite track is actually the outro track.
