Probably my favorite album of 2012 so far. The only thing missing is stellar guitar work. A little too much chugging, not enough badass. But that's my only complaint.

Album sounds the same as the hollow to me which got boring fast. While the vocalist is awesome, all the vocal patterns sound so reminiscent of The Hollow.

As a fan since their very first EP with the original vocalist, I'm really pleased with this record actually. Love the little bits stuck in here or there which are a little more rock and roll. Nice little solo in a couple of tracks. Can't wait to hear these songs live.
The live shows is where this band really nails it in my experience.
I'm baffled how Matty's vocals can keep getting better, but they do.

I think their lyrics are a lot better than some of the other bands on Rise or who play this genre. They aren't art by any means, but they could certainly be worse.

its really not that weird man, he was vague on 'the hollow'. take 'the commanded' for example, i have no idea what hes talking about after 30 or so listens so im still able to draw my own conclusions and mainly focus on the music.
being vague can go a long way in song writing imo, just sing about the emotions and leave the details out.
