I don't mind hard hitting. I love heavy stuff. Basically, I want to know if there is a ton of screaming. That's what I don't like.

On some songs there is. You probably won't like 'The handsome life of swing' :thumb:

well i was an idiot when i first posted in this thread lol
i still love this album, but have found quite a few great tracks on SS.

I found my copy of this album again yesterday, and i took back the copy of SS i gave to my friend. This album is still great, but im afraid i find the new album overproduced, effortless and bland. These guys are capable of so much more, but i will admit, they do pop music very well.

Much much better than Start Something, although the music isn't as tight as Start Something.

good album. probably like a 3-3.5 from me. definitely not a 4.5/5 though. i for one like start something a lot more. while TFSoP was a lot more unique, it wasnt as good on a few levels. first, ians singing wasnt too great, on some tracks he makes kind of a whiney noise that is really annoying. ex: beginning of "Ode to Summer." also i think that the backing vocals werent to great, some were kind of annoying, like the very end of the title track. some parts of songs sounded really out of place and the little outro things at the end of almost every song are really annoying. average album.

kick erse review. This album is good though I prefer Start Something very close though

I love this record. I saw Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja on MTV2 in like 2001 or 2 or something, and was like..."wow, I need this." My faves are Shinobi, Fake Sound of Progress and the overall favorite Still Laughing. Way better that Start Something, IMO.
Great Stuff!!
Nice review, BTW

Yes this is their rawest and heaviest album. I know how all you "hardcore" Lostprophets fans think that this is their best album yet, however I find Ian's vocals out of range and very nasaly (and
annoying!) at many points throughout the album. His singing has improved by leaps and bounds on 'Start Something' and 'Liberation Transmission'.
