This was my first release from FlyLo that I've actually taken the time to listen to. Most of his contributions to Adult Swim and his productions credits have passed my way from time to time, but this LP really intrigued me. So going through his back catalog recently, I'll give Los Angeles credit but I just found this to be the stronger release. (in my opinion of course.)

Whoever said 'Interludes The Album' Is spot on.

Been a Flylo fan a long time but on about 5/6th spin of this theres just something I cant connect with. Everything feels short despite it being no shorter than usual Flylo tracks. Its probably just better that Quiet but doesnt come close to LA or cosmagramma for me.

Ok, re-listened to this a few more times today after saying it didn't do much for me. The problem I realized is that there are a lot of individual songs that do not do anything for me. However 1-5, 7, 8, 14 are absolutely EXCELLENT. But the rest (which a few exceptions) is either filler or something I just cannot get into. Weird dichotomy for me on this record. I'm glad I picked it up for those 8 songs, they just happen to be really short and almost come off as unfinished Jaga Jazzist songs.

I'll have to refresh my memory of UTQC but I can't see why this is better in any way.

I used to think that, but then I realized I couldn't stop listening to Cosmogramma...

well, i just listened to UTQC again, and I gotta say, I stand by my initial reasoning.

The only thing that i can see being done better in YD! is the intro... But in terms of songs standing on their own UTQC has an enormous advantage. "heave(n)", "Putty boy strut", "sultan's request", "yesterday//Corded". The thundercat ft. is at least tolerable here.

It is more inviting, it wants you to stay in it. YD! just rushes you out, like a fast-food restaurant "good, here's your food, now scram!". that's how it felt, at least to me.
