Ive yet to hear a metal album with a thicker production than this.. and Ive done a lot of side-by-side comparisons with it. Whoever mastered this fat chunk of sound-meat is a demigod walking among humans. It'd be really cool to see this level of production become industry standard. Even Meshuggah doesn't rip my hifi setup nearly as hard as this does. Ridiculous.

I agree. I normally don’t dig bands of this style that much, but the production here made me keep listening.

I like this but i dont want this to be standard. Very brickwalled.

I guess. Still, bands that aim for this sound should at least hold this as a benchmark.

New tracks made me want to check these fellow countrymen. They slipped completely under my radar.

That Deracinated posted above is pretty dope.
Checking this now because I'm digging that newest track quite a bit. This is awesome stuff. Haven't checked much into slam apart from some essentials and a few oddball random tracks. Anyone here got some top tier slam recs for my noob ass to get slammed with???

I find these pretty fun:
Coprocephalic - The Oath of Relinquishment
Ingested - Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering
Incinerated Flesh - Murder On Acid
Abominable Putridity - The Anomalies of Artificial Origin (id recommend the remaster though, its actually dirtier than the original)
Human Error - Upon a Throne of Greed (veering closer to deathcore with this one)
And of course the Deracinated album, and Analepsy. Thats about it for me when it comes to slam.

Check also:
Katalepsy - Autopsychosis
Pathology - The Time of Great Purification
Wormed - Krighsu
Rendered Helpless - Suffer, Seraphim
As you will notice, some have a somewhat hybrid approach.

This is well written and all
But you could recreate this album with sample from 2 or 3 other bands. Totally devoid of anything unique or original
