First time i ever heard about this band, to be honest. But i'be lying if i say the review (which was excellent by the way) din't awoke my curiosity, i'll listen to this and Otta in the following days. The only thing it bothered me was the score, in the context of the review; it seems more fitting for 5.0

.5 deduction for aesthetic reasons; the vibes aren't as good as Otta.

Hmm. Gave this one listen and felt like it kinda dragged on a bit too much. There are some unexpected dynamic twists and turns here and there, but overall it's a bit too repetitive for my liking. It starts off rather strong, but I feel the drumming could be more interesting. It's not a bad album by any means, it's just kinda unremarkable for such an established band. Maybe it will grow

Jammed this on vinyl and this is def a 4.5. Different from Otta but I'm glad they tried something a little different

Dýrafjörður really reminds me of something I heard before but I can't reallt grasp it. Anyone?

Interesting, I feel like I need to revisit this for a 3rd or 4th time because it sounds like I'm really missing something here. I like Solstafir but I found this album to be pretty boring. I as well had a hard time getting through it in one sitting

I’ve only heard those 3 and I’d say this > Otta > Kold tbh. All really good though. m/

Svartir Sandar is longer but I really dug it and Masterpiece of Bitterness has a more raw sound
