Pure heroine is better for sure. Green light, Liability, and Writer in the dark are the only songs I really like on this. Sowing you should listen to Eisley. I feel like they would give you an erection. Start with the valley.

I will admit Pure Heroine hasn't aged that well but boy does it have a few bangers

400 Lux is my fave from it, which I know isn't the popular opinion but I just can't resist it. It's got this thoughtful, almost sexy aura but it's so sad at the same time.

How the hell does "Green Light" sound anything like "Liability"

The album as a whole does carry a similar vibe 80% of the time but seeing as how I quite liked that particular feel it wasn't an issue for me.

This is how a pop album is suppose to sound. Miles ahead of the rest of the garbage on the radio.

Yeah the criticism that this is samey sounds like it was made by someone who heard Pure Heroine and wants to assume this is the same thing without actually listening to it.

I can't get over how much I'm loving this right now. Even the weaker tracks are like 3.5/5's at the worst and 75% of it is straight up killer pop tunes. This is definitely my favorite mainstream radio style pop release since Taylor Swift put out 1989, which means this tops Emotion and Dangerous Woman (for me).

yea, I'd say about 80% of this sounds too much alike. there's a fine thread between thematical coherence and samey-ness, and I feel this album balances that not too well.

But like Ghost said, I wouldn't have an issue with that if I actually enjoyed what the album is trying to get to. Regretfully, I do not, except 2-3 tracks, this is a blur of shallowness to me.
