it's nothing mind-blowing and it is a little samey but it's so damn well-executed you can kinda forgive that

this really did nothing for me, i love the overall sound presented, but the vocals so boring and dull.

The lack of variation really kills this too. Will give a few more spins though.

I actually thought these guys showed promise as a decent metal/hardcore band. They had a solid run with Let Go and the twin EP's but Free was just so bland that you could tell they weren't even trying.

I really like the vocals, it often feels as if they perfectly 'align' with the instrumentals. I can get others not enjoying it as much tho, they're often pretty buried and feel more like another instrument than anything else.

As a fan of shoegaze, I gotta say this is a welcome addition to the genre. It's possible they're just tourists, like a lot of supposed "fans" are these days but for what it is, it's a credible effort and I'm digging it.

Those that find it "repetitive" obviously don't listen to shoegaze often enough (outside of saying "Loveless" is the best shoegaze album on a forum here and there).

Still gotta check this, it sounded like it'd be in the 3.0 range from the singles released

I listen to a decent amount of shoegaze, but with good shoegaze you can tell the difference between a lot of the tracks, a lot of this just blends into one, most tracks feature the exact same structure throughout

wish they eased into this one better instead of just bullrushing it, one of the most boring albums ive heard in a while

When I read this review I was so hopeful, but after hearing two tracks I can already tell it isn't for me. Dull vocals, boring guitar tone. Feels as though it was half assed. Maybe that is too harsh though.

They've never released a good album and I doubt this will change that.

Well if you didn't dig their melocore style, maybe you'll enjoy their shoegaze style. It's like a whole different band.
