This album bleeds together a bit but it's such a gooooood sound they've carved out for themselves. Might need that splatter vinyl...

Alright I gotta up this to a 4. They fucking nailed this style.

Shoegaze is nothing new and quite frankly isn't that special. Once you've heard one band you've pretty much heard them all. Don't really understand the attention

@DarthHideous1 I'm not a genre expert by any means, but I think this doesn't sound like classic shoegaze.

@henryChinaski I have to agree, I feel like the drums have somewhat retained the 'hardcore' feeling, for me its what makes this album stand out from the classic shoegaze.

Neurotic is my favourite song from the release, still undecided of my score yet, its around 4-4.5 for me, might be a bit biased that I have it on vinyl.

i'd much prefer generic melodic hardcore to generic shoegaze.

I don't mind either version of Hundredth but I wish I coulda seen the melodic hardcore version at warped tour...i'm going to see them at warped tomorrow and I was so looking forward to hearing songs like Break Free, but I guess that won't be happening

The album isn't bad, but it sounds like a completely different band.

Homogeneous and yet I keep returning to it. Echoes of Peripheral Vision, hazy.

I think I saw these guys do a laughably bad, screamy cover of NIN's "Hurt" much earlier in their career. Never thought about the band twice after that.

This, though, has a really great sound. It's definitely same-y, but like others have said, they nailed the style. Perhaps a few songs will grow on me. Right now "Departure" is my favorite.
