Great band! And this new album is excellent, as usual... they never made a bad one to date, but IMO "Eve" was their peak.

Evokaphile - we always seem to be hanging around the same album threads. I could use another clan mate.

Tfw everyone seems to have positive things to say about this album but its sitting at 3.6

I still gotta hear it. If its more in the vein of Ecate ill probably love it because thats my favorite Ufo so far.

Well for me there are albums where I can listen to single songs easily, like "Snailking", "Idolum" and "Ecate" for example.
"Eve" and "8" work best when listen to the whole album. Same with "Opus Primum".
I needed some time to let "8" grow better but it worked.
I think production-wise "Snailking" is my favourite album of them. I love the sound on it (especially the drums and the synths). I hope the following albums don't get "dirtier" production-wise.
Edit:
I have a question, how can I do that "Digging: insert artist - insert album" thing that other users often do??

Go to the sound-offs section of an album. Find the button nearst the top that says "dig". Click it.

I tried it (two albums) but in my comment it still doesn't show up. Ok now it works

I love that part in Warsheep when it gets faster and weirder and how it leads into Zodiac and it still keeps going for 2 minutes.
Psyrcle is also one of my favourites on 8.
And I'm also always a fan of the synths in their music.

I like this band's intention and ideas, but it always becomes a muddy sea of not-quite-awesome-enough riffs.

The past two albums have the clearest production, but I understand what you say. I like them better now that I understand what's going on, but there's something about the hazy early LPs that makes me return to them too.

I bet if I dived in and invested my time to these albums I would like them a lot more. It surely ticks all my boxes except 'replayability'.

Ecate riffs fucking hard though.
