King legitametly reminds me of their One days.
Luminary on the other hand is arguably one of the worst songs they've ever written.

I also said I miss Ashe but goddamn those screams from Dan are brilliant.

I just wish he did them more often. Basically the main reason why King is enjoyable as it is.

yeah my criticism is a bit of a paradox lol.
The reviewer states...
'Yet, there are many djent bands that settle on the most simplistic version of the formula - lots and lots and lots of low end and little else - and Tesseract has regrettably trended towards this path on every release following their 2013 pinnacle, the progressive-leaning Altered State'
I find that incredibly insulting to anyone who likes Polaris. Polaris is one of my all time favourite albums, if someone insulted you would u not want to respond?

I liked Polaris yet I don't find that insulting. To be fair, I get why he has the sentiment in the first place.
|
| |
lol I hardly think that's an insult to Polaris and definitely not an insult to you personally.
But respond? Sure, that's why we are here.

also, if you miss Ashe, check out his other band Voices From The Fuselage. Their debut is pretty great.
|
| |
i think its insulting because it paints a picture that anyone who likes polaris has no taste lol. it has no substance therefore u must be a caveman for likeing it lol

no it doesn't. you're acting like he's targeting the fans for liking the album yet he's not saying that at all. He's simply stating what he believes where the band has gone the past 5 years.
|
| |
yeah thats true but there are different levels of engagement, like a three year old engages with twinkle twinkle little star, just didnt like the way the review was written is all, like it was coming from some musical expert. i dont give a toss if u like or dislike tesseract, but i do so felt like responding. if u dont want to engage with me dont bother [2]
|
| |
well i disagree with him. i like where the band has gone and i think hes totally wrong saying that polaris is just low end and more low end. personally I found polaris to be beautifully layered and subtle epsecially songs like Torniquet. Polaris had a more mainstream sound and i enjoyed its accessability

and that's totally 100% fine. He's not going to personally attack you for it because he thinks differently.
If you're seriously THAT insulted by this review, than you're not going to last long on this site.

why are tesseract fans like this
|

because the djent fanbase is home to some of the worst people in any music subgenre
|

i would like to play the devil's advocate here and say that yeah thats true but there are different levels of engagement, like a three year old engages with twinkle twinkle little star, just didnt like the way the review was written is all, like it was coming from some musical expert. i dont give a toss if u like or dislike tesseract, but i do so felt like responding. if u dont want to engage with me dont bother
