AWWR is just too toothless and sluggish. songwriting and production of this makes more sense

is it? I thought they were pretty close in quality, this actually having a slight edge. The internet seems to have a massive issue with the production, claiming it to be too muddy, but i kinda dig it

i thought this was far better than AWWR

i'm normally the biggest production dude around here but i think the production suits it, you get used to it a track or two in

This feel just fine and recycled to me, AWWR feels more inspired, listen to the title track, The Head Of The Hydra, Language Of The Dead and The Skin Of A Fire, these last 2 are bonus tracks

Title of this is one character short on the main page. Unsatisfactory development.

One of the biggest album letdowns in recent memory for me, simply because they came so close to nailing it. The songs are great, but the production/mix absolutely killed it to the point of it being nearly non listenable. Loved everything about AWWR and was definitely looking forward to this one. I know plenty of people had the same gripe about the production so I'm hoping the mix isn't the weak link in the next release. Daggers of Black Haze is a fire track though!

Glad I’m not the only one that thinks the production/mix is terrible. Terminal Spirit Disease has better production than this. Sounds so muddy

yeh i think they overshot a bit trying to fix the excessively clean production on the previous one. that said i like the production more since it at least doesn't feel as empty and sterile

i think the songs are a bit more inspired and punky which helps it feel a lot more energetic too

i dig the production here - it's missing high end but as soon as you blast it on a stereo system it really goes. lends itself better to big hifi systems rather than headphones.
