Dealer had a theme and stayed consistently beautiful. This doesn’t know what the hell it wants to do and the only thing it is consistent in is sounding chaotic and confused, and as a result barely listenable.

I think this knows exactly what it wants to do, it's tracklist structure is honestly way better than Dealer's which I think holds it back a bit.

Yeah, because Gameshark to Nearer My God is such a wonderful transition

There's a very noticeable and purposeful flow to this album, to the point where the 1st and 2ND halves might as well be Side A and B

gameshark literally foreshadows the title of the next track within its outro so yes it's an incredible transition

Stunning review, Row! Adore this record. The end of "Paradise" may just be the best moment of music I've heard this year. Incredible record

Dealer was good but it lacked anything really interesting musically. Someone mentioned how this was all over the place and to me that's one of the reasons this is their best yet. Each song offers its own flavour to the record and none sink into the background as filler unlike Dealer. It's all so creative and unpredictable.

Glad we're agreed the climax to Grand Paradise is the best thing here
Also the 2ND half of this has grown on me sooooo much gonna bump this to a 6

First half of Grand Paradise is some hardcore Brand New worship. Latter half is prob the best thing here, would take 5 Cups over it tho

Am I the only one who doesn't hear the Brand New influence on this? I feel like I'm missing something.

Beautiful review... Grand Paradise and Lich Prince on the first half for me (Five Cups can function as the album's centrepiece, or as a giant interlude); then Heartbeats, Trapped in Dillard's, Bastardiser, Won't Drown and Lambert. Yeah, it's a bit stacked. Scared it'll wane off me, but I'll ride the high for now.

Five Cups is probably my soty but when the album is speckled with songs like Lich Prince, Gameshark, and Crown Candy, the peaks don't make up for the valleys.
