I really hope that the next AC is a massive redemption story. Everything since Centipede has been decent at best, and completely forgetable at worst.

PW was their worst record in a while, but still a decent 3.5 for me. It scratches a particular itch very well. This is kinda just nothing

My issue with Painting With is that the music straight up annoys me. The only song I find myself returning to on that is Natural Selection.

To be frank, I'd agree with that statement about MPP. In no way is it a bad album, but it was by far their biggest, and introduced them to a much larger audience that doesn't give a shit about anything other than the poppier sound offered on MPP.
