How so? Not a single song on that album is under an 8/10 so they're mostly equal anyway.

Maybe it's because I hate it so much that I refuse to associate anything with it, but I'm not getting any YOTBR vibes from this... more of a mix between the two Good Apollo albums

(also never listened to Color Before the Sun, so)

Yeah, GA:I is incredible if for no other reason than The Willing Well suite. They could have released just those 4 songs as an EP and I would've still been ecstatic. I loved the acoustic version of The Willing Well II that came with the NWFT deluxe edition on iTunes and I used to listen to it more than the original version.

I do have to say I thought The Dark Sentencer was a 6/10 when I first heard it but I'd probably bump it to 8.5/10, maybe even a 9/10 now. It's grown on me a ton and was fantastic live. I could just do without the "hey!" chant.

Once Upon *Your Dead Body is one of the best songs on Good Apollo Vol. I and better than almost every song on this album. [2] - at the very least it's better than Wake Up, Mother May I, and The Suffering.

That said From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness is pretty much my hardest 5 ever. Nice ranking of Erica Court there Glass.

Interesting how varied the tracks people enjoy on this are.

I've always thought The Suffering was the weakest song there with the possible exception of Wake Up.

"Nice ranking of Erica Court there Glass."

The lead guitar in the chorus gets me every time. I could listen to it noodling on a loop all day.

warning; this review contains reference to a dead video game franchise called Guitar Hero. If you think this makes sense, wake up: it's 2018

Same. I actually had The Suffering stuck in my head this morning so I listened to it on the way to work but it's a total cheese fest of a song. Still really good though. I have almost no faults with any of the first 3 Coheed albums other than Crossing the Frame is really redundant since The Willing Well III is perfect and a much better version of Crossing the Frame.

I don't like Wake Up as much as I used to but I think all of Coheed's acoustic songs are pretty top notch. The middle section of GA:I has grown on me a ton over the years, which is why my track ranking is the way it is now. Back in 2007 I'd probably have Ten Speed and The Suffering right under Welcome Home.

Guess it will be another Coheed day. Whenever I listen to Heavenly Creatures it just makes songs from their other albums pop up in my head. Mostly YOTBR and No World For Tomorrow.

That's how I felt listening to the album last night when going to bed. It kind of bummed me out that a lot of the progressiveness and creativity they used to always have is pretty much gone and I ended up just wanting to listen to 21:13.

Well I've bagged an interview with these guys next week but mind's currently drawing a blank on what questions to ask.

Ask Claudio how much money it would take for him to cut his hair really short again.

Damn I feel like there are a billion questions you could ask Josh given all the shit he's been through and his Weerd Science project. Plus he's my favorite drummer ever so like Voltimand said, you can ask why he's such a monster on the kit.
