So I’m giving this another crack after all the positive comments yesterday.

First impressions - it’s VERY long which I find makes it hard to gauge properly after one listen. It does have some good stuff going on though and might well grow on me.

Some of the lyrics are appalling though, even for Coheed...

‘Don't let me find you hiding under the covers

It's your last chance, honey

Better call your mother’

@CaliggyJack I get that. But at the same time you gotta put yourself out there. Go to the gym, get some exercise, but don't put a high school relationship on such a high pedestal.

I can't. I'm far too broken and untrustworthy of others. I've come to terms with it, I'm okay with being alone. Life is made up of much more than relationships as I have come to learn.

@shemson in recent years Claudio's lyrics haven't held a candle to anything NWFT and earlier. I agree with the over long argument though. Cut "Unheavenly Creatures," "True Ugly," and "Night time Walkers," and you've got a dope album.

I tried to love this like I do almost all of CAC but I can't get over how much I hate the first 4 songs. Creatures and Toys are especially bad because they're back to back bad songs.

It only starts sounding like a Coheed album at Black Sunday (top 3 album song). From then on it sounds great and starts dragging a bit at the end.

Too bad. Let's hope their next album is less radio pop rock and a bit more cohesive. This just sounds like a bunch of ideas swept together and a few radio friendly songs to get some airtime.

Nah, I prefer this over eccentric time signatures and off rhythm vocals.

New Coheed song just dropped.

Not too sure how I feel about it just yet but the lyrics are pretty shitty for someone that used to write such poetic stuff.

I'm getting Paralyzer by Finger Eleven vibes, which is... about as far from good as I could say. Lol. Just feels so generic for a band that can do awesome shit. Really wish Mic was still around and they had the original line up.
