I remember when they released Indestructible in '08 my girlfriend at the time (who much to my dismay was a HUGE Disturbed fan) turned and said to me "It's amazing how with every new album they do something new and fresh." Needless to say that relationship didn't last, not because of her poor taste in music, but that didn't help either. Granted I think they bank on the "if its not broke, don't fix it" mentality but lets be real here, Disturbed hasn't released anything good since their debut album... and everything since then has been, well, Disturbing...ly bad.

Idk man Ten Thousand Fists has well over 2000 votes and still has a 3.4 average. That's pretty amazing for a nu-metal, mainstream metal/hard rock album. Indestructible is my favorite one by a good margin, the band does offer a pretty different experience on each album, despite some of the repeated vocal tropes obviously. IMO they didn't start to get stale till Asylum, and only now with Evolution have they released something that is pretty bad.

Nah Asylum was bad imo.. They picked it up a little with Immortalized and now this abomination is the nail in the coffin. Believe remains as their best for my money.

I am on of those people that when I first heard A reason to fight I was like are they turning into a lullaby version of themselves and understood the more die hard fans who tore it a new asshole but since I try to give even the worst stuff I've heard from bands I love another chance the more I've listened to this has surprisingly grown on me though the fans that want them to bring the metal will NEVER, and I repeat ever warm up to this not gonna happen folks.even though I like A Reason To Fight now The Sound Of Silence,The Light,and even Darkness,from way back when,easilt RUN circles around this one, they've done much better ballads than ARTF

Fire It Up is cheesy as all hell but i'll be damned if I don't adore it in a so bad it's good way.some bands like to have that silly release occasionally from consistent poker faced seriousness.As long as it don't annoy me they win me over.

This is impressive even for Disturbed. They somehow managed to put out a record with not 1 single, solitary second of enjoyable music.

Remember the whole 'our new album diverse with lots of genres, fans decide the genre of the first single' thing and then the two options were a rock song and a ballad?
