Have an open mind lol, and don't mind the 1's because it's not a 1. Don't mind my 4.5 neither, because it's objectively a 4 or a 3.5 for me.

I wouldn’t go that far, maybe 3.5 and especially a 4 is too high but it’s not a 1 either. Album can be likeable.

For a stadium pop rock act, this is actually a very fun listen.

Muse has consistently disappointed me for the better part of a decade. I feel like every album after BHAR has followed the same formula: a few brilliant tracks here and there, some decent tracks that don't quite reach as far as they could, and the requisite pop tunes.
On my first listen to ST, I thought the half-great-half-dud theory would hold true again...but I honestly think that this is the best of the post-BHAR albums. Muse might be a few years late to the synthwave aesthetic, but it feels like the right way to channel Matt's songwriting sensibilities, which have grown increasingly slick over the last ten years (one of the reasons why Drones felt like anything but a "back to our roots" album).
Plus, Break It To Me is one of the best songs they've ever put out.

^I feel the same. It's pretty honest album and it works so much better than I expected

God damn this falls off the cliff hard after Propaganda and Break It To Me.

I think muse is having an 80's syndrome, similar to rush when they moved from prog to synth-rock, I think it's only a phase, when they'll become tired, they will return to the early sound.

A hard 3.5 agreed. I can even see this getting a 4 in the furute, but I'm not so sure atm. It's so stupid I can't help but smile, kind of like Revolt from Drones. :D It's genuinely enjoyable for me and I'm not ashamed at all. There is enough older Muse in this as well.

Oh by the way, I still remember an anecdote in which a girl told me that she had sex with his boyfriend while listening to muse. Who the fuck has sex while listening to muse?
