even I found their post-2000 too fucked up at first, but after I became familiar with their 90's stuff it was easier to get into. I think watching that music video of plyPhon somehow helped me get a better grasp on their later material

I guess I’ll say it - if you like Aphex, you is owe it to yourself to check out squarepusher. I think his back catalogue and newer stuff compare nicely to RDJ’s output.
