This rules, can't wait to see them in a few months.

Last time I saw them the encore was Girl Attorney, which was awesome/hilarious

Holy shit I love the Max Payne 3 soundtrack! One of my favorite games

Debut is still the best, love the off-kilter noisy percussion on that one. Biased view though. For anyone that likes this then going ‘reverse-chronological’ makes sense.

good record

quick question, I read in this review that their previous album was more accessible/poppy, which has me nervous to check it out. Is it poppier in the Nevermind way where the production is like a candy coating and removes the music sound staler or is it more in the way of it being more verse/chorus/verse?

I'm asking because I hate Nevermind's production and I don't want to listen to an album that sounds like that

I didn't even know they had released any singles. I follow so many bands and this is a not a genre I follow very closely

@Sharktooth its not poppy in that candy cane bullshit sense its just more structured in the traditional verse/chrous/verse kinda thing. The album still has a bite to it and its a fun listen.

the shitty guitar chugs on this album make it really tough to appreciate all of the awesome stuff thats happening that is not shitty guitar chugs.

the shitty guitar chugs are so shitty that they actually affect other elements of the songs where they exist. like the vocals and lyrics are fine in most of the parts that don't have shitty guitar chugs, but then the shitty guitar chugs come in and the vocals and lyrics are suddenly bringing you some evanescence realness and you want to die
