sugar/tzu is the only memorable/worth-it song and even that one the diddle diddle unison stepwise bass pattern is kinda silly/disappointing. This isn’t a good band—cavalcade is worse than this—but at least they’re better than that other one

debut plays like a flat tyre but has its moments. this is easily the most rewarding as an end-to-end -- the revue-style nods in the backend suit them, but jank like the Race is About to Begin and that godawful chromatic riff in Welcome to Hell deserve a mercy killing
