Matt and co. going completely all the fuck out is an exciting prospect for one of my go-to "dumb fun" bands; looking forward to this

Great review too

'am gonna learn my lesson from Interpol and subtract a corrective 4 points from your score' [3]

Sput's rating scale entering uncharted territory here and I'm all for it

Morbid curiosity and nostalgia dictate I will check this and one way or another it will be glorious

I always wonder what bands think when people say their album is good but for all the wrong reasons

Why I'm thinking of Machinehead's last album and super collider by megadeth with this comment. Is it...that there is a nostalgia thing that they want to recover some of the generic fans from previous decades?

That new Interpol album was incredibly boring

Don't touch my beloved interpol.

I'm intrigued. The singles have been a mixed bag but hopefully it's a return to some better songwriting. Nice review!

Their good albums aren’t even as good as my past self thought, but compared to what they became?… my god they are incredible…

but yeah for the uninitiated Origin for prog guitars and Absolution for more keys / space opera (good) shit that still retained an identity

all downhill from there, but if the above tickled you sufficiently then check Black Holes and if you REALLY need more then maybe Showbiz

idk that album really pissed me off back in the day and I’m not over it yet

Broke my damn heart Flug

I mean it does have the odd cool track that could’ve sounded huge under different circumstances but it was ruined by the production
