“How do you do fellow kids” is the perfect meme way to describe a lot of the worst of their new material
They WERE the cool kids in the 00s tho

Baby Queen is so chilled. Loving the vibes on this album. Reminds me of the softer songs from Think Tank. The features are not half as intrusive as I was expecting too, which I'm glad.
Tormenta is baaaaad though.

Tormenta isn't that bad actually, can imagine this being a nice Summer jam. Just need some sun.

Jesus Christ I’m only half way through but this is worse than I could have even imagined
A middle aged British dude could literally fart into a mic and zak would still simp for it

I agree unfortunately. They've lost a little more of their edge with every single release after Plastic Beach. This was almost offensively bland.

second half drops the ball some but this is the most I've enjoyed a full record of theirs since Plastic Beach. helps that's it's short and doesn't feel reliant on the features to lift up the songwriting

Oil is trash. Taking a break before the second half but if this keeps up it is firmly the worst Gorillaz album. It’s a joke.

Think I actually enjoy this more than Demon Days lol...
Just listened to them back to back, it's nowhere near as earth shattering in terms of scope but it's a tighter listen overall.

How can you rationalize calling this a return to form? I’d love to know. Cuz it’s a superficial husk of what Gorillaz was at the height of their career imo
